Job Description Job Family Responsibilities: Participates in review of sales proposals for products and service opportunities to determine proposal feasibility. Participates in development, editing and writing of original proposal responses and other sales-related documents. Replies to sales inquiries and proposal approval requests in a timely manner. Analyzes geographic territory, customer requirements, and competitive activity to develop sales offers and bids designed to achieve sales goals. Maintains current knowledge of market conditions and competitors' activities critical to the bidding process. Maintains customer and distributor contact, providing technical product application assistance. Assists sales staff in closing sales. Key Responsibilities: Performs important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly-defined issues. Refers semi-complex, unusual problems to others. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems. Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or other related field of study. Knowledge and Experience: 2-5 years of successful experience as a construction Sr. Proposal Specialist/Bid Coordinator. Requires specification take off and quoting of complex electrical projects for the construction market. Must be able to read a one-line diagram and read panel board/switch board diagrams. Also requires experience with developing bills of material and interpreting engineering specifications. Must have excellent computer skills to include MS Word and Excel. |
