PURPOSE: Responsible to provide technical and application services for all Devcon product lines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Via phones and email, provide technical support for a wide range of MRO and OEM products to sales representatives, distributors, end users, and consumers. Make product recommendations and convey proper use guidelines. Coordinate and prioritize application related projects. Communicate with sales/end users, prepare test samples, conduct physical testing, provide written reports. Respond to customer technical needs, requests, and questions. Investigate and troubleshoot problems. Contribute to in-house Training programs by educating attendees on selected product groups and demonstrating proper product use. Develop sales tools related to product properties (technical data sheets, charts, physical properties). Provide potential customers with technical expertise at trade shows. Visit end users to offer application guidance, support dispensing equipment, or troubleshoot issues. Promote, support and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality related policies and procedures. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: BS degree in Chemical, Plastics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Strong oral, written and computer skills (Microsoft Office) Organizational skills to manage multiple projects Open to occasional travel |
